6th Grade Policies
HomeworkIf an assignment or activity for the day is not completed during the class period, that work is expected to be completed as homework to satisfy the required work for the class. It may also be necessary for students to bring work home on occasion in order to prepare for upcoming assessments.

GradingClass grades follow the school setup in gradebook, with 40% for formatives and 60% for summatives. Remediation will be available for summative work for 1 week after the original test date. Formative retakes are available upon student request and completion of required remediation work. This must be set up with at least 1 week in advance. There are no retakes given the last week of each quarter. (See grading policies in student handbook for more details)

AbsencesIf a student is absent, it is their responsibility to ask for the missed work before the absence or as soon as they return. Most work can also be found on our weebly website, or Canvas course which can be printed out or watched. They will have 1 week to turn in the missed work. If longer is needed, special arrangements must be made with before hand.
